I do remember seeing something about a Vietnam overlay-type mod, but idr if it was for JA2:Gold or JA:UB. 'flavor' mods are less likely to be absorbed into the core code and therefore may always be tied to a particular release. When one becomes mature, it gets rolled into the 1.13 mod source, if it's considered to be a 'general' mod. Had one crash while saving the game (it did generate a save file, but it crashed before completing it and became corrupted), but none in subsequent saves.The community 1.13 patch adds one strange issue in which the OSX cursor overlaps with the Jagged Alliance 2 one. The game runs with more than adequate performance in the starting sectors and all functionality is enabled, including key shortcuts, sound and videos. The official 1.12 patch also installs correctly if run within the same bottle. It installs and runs directly from the Gold edition CD (published by Strategy First) without tweaking of any sort.
